Date With Mom

This Saturday night I had the honor of going on a double date with my favorite little man. We had a wonderful dinner at Bravo where we sipped on chocolate milk and tea, ate a scrumptious dinner, enjoyed a wonderful conversation with our dear friends and then we topped it all off by splitting a chocolate cake! I had so much fun just being with Tyler and being able to give him my undivided attention and hear all the thoughts that were on his mind.

Then....after dinner we headed to Build-A-Bear where Tyler and Will created a gift for their sisters. They were pretty much on their own picking out what they wanted for their sisters to have luckily they didn't need much redirecting.

After you pick out your toy they let you step on a peddle and pump the stuffing into it.......
.........he was completely fascinated by the whole process.
Kissing it's heart and sending lots of love to his sister.
Here he is proudly putting the heart in "Cotton" (the name he chose for her).

He wanted to get "Maddie" the car.

Here is were they were supposed to give the bunnies a bath before they went home. This was by far their favorite station. There was a peddle that they stepped on and air blew down. They revisited this station about three times and laughed their heads off each time.

This is their "high five" for a job well done!

End of Tee Ball Season

In early November the Express team celebrated a wonderful season where "playing is winning"! The Mittig's were very kind to host a party for the team where everyone got to say goodbye until the Spring.

Coach Eric giving Tyler his trophy.

Before the trophy's were passed out the boys were trying to decide which one was theirs.

Chowing down on hot dogs and Cheetos's.

Random pictures of cuteness:

Madison signing "more".
On this particular day, Maddie and I were playing chase because she is so impressed with her new speediness. I would pretend I was after her and she would scurry away, cackling, then look back as if she was saying, "You can't catch me!".

We were decorating the Christmas tree and Tyler put all the bead on and called it his huge necklace. I called him Mr. T.! Get it?! I crack myself up!

Thanksgiving 2008

I know I've been a horrible blogger lately but we've been busy around here in the Joyce household. We've wrapped up T-ball season, I hosted a Pampered Chef party and Maddie was horribly sick (a combination of a cold and getting her nine months shots combined with the flu shot). But we did get a very relaxing week off for Thanksgiving that we celebrated with family. One of the great benefits to being married is that you get two of each holiday! I uploaded the pictures backwards and I am way to tired to switch them so you'll just have to imagine everything happening in reverse order. This is Tyler at the end of the day Friday. He was just so tired but wanted to keep going so badly!

One of Devin's gifts that I do not recommend getting unless you like being a punching bag.
Devin's little present opener helpers.
Happy 3rd Birthday Devin!

Okay so we have this Mercer Myer book and the little critter uses and old mower like this one and Tyler (being the mower guy that he is) thinks it is so fascinating. So when I told him Grandpa has one he couldn't wait to see it. This is them working on it.

The girls giggling and enjoying bath time together.

Jeffrey started a berry war and they had so much fun they almost cleaned off Granny's trees!

This is Amanda and Mike...we rarely get to see them (sniff, sniff) but we have so much fun with them we they are around.

Madison getting her first Thanksgiving dinner.

Nana with her two great-grandchildren.

What a lovely Thanksgiving filled with family, love and blessings!

Trick-or-Treat!!

October has been such a fun and busy month but I'm kinda glad to see that it's over....mommy needs things to slow down just a bit. It seems like we are always on the go trying to fit in as many fun activities as we can! This last week was Halloween so we carved our Jack O' Lanterns (an all time favorite activity of Jeffrey's). We wanted to do one every week but there was just not enough time. The kids had so much fun and we just loved watching them enjoy themselves. And don't be fooled by Maddie's age....she believes that she can do anything brother can do!

"Dig in!!!"
Maddie's first time to feel the "pumpkin gut's".
Tyler wearing "pumpkin gut's".

"Tyler what's that on your head?" We tried to let him wear it like Joey and Monica did with the turkey but his head was too big.
Maddie's Jack O' Lantern.
The 'girls' in their costumes.
"Flex those muscles!"
All of our sweet babies trick-or-treating together--Caleb, Ethan, Maddie, Tyler, Will and Maggie.

Take 1, Take 2....Take 45!

So we decided to get a picture of the cousins in their Halloween costumes and what an event that turned out to be!

We started on top of the hill but Maddie kept rolling down. I know it looks like Abbie was pushing her but she wasn't.

The we relocated and the real work began. "No look the other way!"

Devin deciding he wants his backside to be in the picture.

Devin looking only up and Tyler finding that hilarious!

Finally a good one!

Superman!!!

Mommy's sweet lil' pumpkin!

Fair Day

I haven't been very good blogger lately but what can I say-it's not easy being a working mom of two! A few weeks ago we went to the state fair and had great time. Tyler got to go twice because Mawmaw and Pawpaw took him during the week. We started the morning off right by eating Fletcher's corny dog and visiting with Big Tex and then we headed to the car shows. Tyler loved everything about the car shows, he would climb in and out of them and check out all their features. Of course his fav's were the Corvettes'. But anyway here's a few pics.....

Maddie was very jealous of Tyler's cotton candy!
Pure delight!
