Outdoor Fun

Anytime the weather permits we will spent the day outside and on this particular day I just had to get my camera and snap some pictures (since I'm always thinking about what will make a good scrapbook page). Here's a few of my favorite.....

Let me tell you how wonderful Bison is...he is absolutely the kindest and most patient dog when it comes to our children. He always stays next to them whether we are outside or going from room to room in the house. He sleeps with Tyler and whenever someone new comes around he will plant himself right between Madison and that person and not let them come between. On this afternoon they were putting rocks and sticks on him and he just laid there and let them...

and then Maddie thanked him. But she's not always so sweet to him. A few days ago we were all in the dining room hanging out and Bison was growling very quietly and when it finally caught Jeffrey's attention he looked over to see Maddie with both of her fists tightly around Bison's eyebrows dragging him across the floor!

What we've been up to....

Sometimes Jeffrey likes to be creative in the kitchen and on this morning I was busy folding laundry when Maddie crawled into the game room with a layer of white all over her head! When I ask what was going on in there I was told they had a accident but it was under control and to stay put. So of course I did what any mother that had just finished cleaning her kitchen would do and I went charging in! I found flour spilled all over the floor and Tyler and Jeffrey having a blast looking through the cookie cutters. How could I be mad?

We recently went to a birthday party at a gymnastics place and boy did our kiddo's jump right in and have fun.

Maddie was the youngest to participate in this game and at first when we sat her down she panicked but then she spotted Tyler next to her she scooted closer and was fine as long as her "bub bub" was there to keep her safe!

We couldn't keep him out of this foam pit! He just wanted to keep running and jumping in (so did I)!

Maddie love the trampolines and watching all the action! And she stopped traffic with adoring fans when she couldn't eat her cupcake fast enough.

One of our kiddo's favorite things to do is laugh hysterically at Bison while he gets a bath. What a sweet little tushy!

Tyler and Maddie doing art with Daddy. I bet there was a Ninja Turtle drawn in there somewhere.

Jeffrey and I worked on this puzzle during our "couple time". Since we never go out... at least once a week we don't turn on the TV or allow any outside distractions and we usually just talk. It was Jeffrey's idea to bring in the puzzle... at first I was a little put off (I mean who wouldn't want to spend a few hours just talking to me) but we had so much fun!!

Maddie has to do EVERYTHING her brother is doing, even his homework.

Learning to write our names.

Tyler's day with mommy

Tyler recently spent a day at work with me (which for him is almost better than going to Six Flags)! We were having a "fun day" at school and since Tyler always wants to go to work with me and see the "big kids", I ask Mr. Harrison if he could join us. We started out by doing some sidewalk art and then I took him around school for a tour. He played basketball in the "old gym" and the "shiny one" then we headed to the bandhall where they played a song for him and let him play some of the instruments. After that we ate lunch together and then headed to the computer lab to play games and listen to music! We also had two NFL players come and speak and Tyler got to meet them sadly the picture was too blurry to post. They were some of the biggest men I've ever met. One of them busted a sprite can with a single hand and the other bent a steel rode over his chin. Tyler thought they were stronger than Superman!

Pardon the goofy smile....he's trying to show you the cheese stuck on his teeth.

I had so much fun bringing Tyler to work with me and letting him experience what I do all day when we're apart. My favorite part was seeing how special he felt and how he gave me a hundred hugs and told me at least as many times that he loved me!
