Tyler's Olympic's

One of Tyler's favorite activities at Crayon Campus is going to gymnastics every Friday. And last year he couldn't make it to the Olympics because that's the day we were coming home from the hospital with Madison (he didn't mind) but this year it was all he could talk about for two weeks! And the best part was that he was the only one who raised his hands and shouted, "TA DA!" every single time.

Here's Madison and our Olympian enjoying one of their favorite snacks from Ms. Dotties kitchen, french toast sticks.

Step back Paul Hamm......Tyler Joyce is coming through!

The best somersault's in the whole bunch.

A cat doesn't have balance a good as this!

And finally the moment we have been anticipating for so long....getting his first gold medal!!

Maddie's First Birthday!

Happy Birthday Madison! We love you so much and feel extremely lucky and blessed to have you. I can't believe how quickly a year has gone by. It seems like just a few days ago, your daddy was so impatient waiting on your arrive that two nights before you were born he told me to "hurry up" because he was ready to "get started" meaning he was ready to start being your father. And then when I finally went into labor you took your time making your entrance but when you finally arrived what grand entrance you made! I still remember the look on your Granny's and your Daddy's face when you were born....it was like they were getting a glimpse of heaven. They were both frozen with amazement and love for the wonderful gift God has given us. I feel that way every time I watch you sleep or when you wake up and are standing at your crib with your arms reaching for me. Or when ever I see you hug your brother and see you snuggling with your daddy. We love you with all our hearts Maddie and we pray that we celebrate many many more birthday's together!

I know this post is way overdue but momma has been very busy! Everyone here has had so much going on and on top of that at least one of us has been sick all month. Even poor Maddie Paddie was sick on her birthday but she still managed to celebrate. She was running a slight fever on and off all weekend. Only to find out soon after at her well check that she had an ear infection. But other than that I think she had fun on her birthday...here's a glimpse....

Her birthday table.

The cake!!!!!

Maddie's smash cake!

This is her loving on a February Birthday Beanie Bear that Aunt RaRa had given her and it has gotten lots of snuggles ever since.

The Princess and her daddy playing with balloons.

Enjoying lunch with Rhonda and Amanda.

Princess Maddie was very happy that her family came to celebrate her first birthday with her and she loved all the pretty presents.

She was so delicate with her cake...she would just pick off the dots of icing one at a time.

But boy did she like the icing! Later that night I fed her the strawberry cake and she loved it. I think she has the same sweet tooth as her brother. If you look closely you'll see he was waiting by to give her any assistance she needed with starting on her first cake.

Waiting to open her first gift.

Opening presents took a while but she had plenty of help from her big brother. She got a doll house from Mommy and Daddy. A keepsake wooden jewelry box from Tyler that he made himself. New clothes, a tea set and college money from MawMaw and PawPaw. Lots of accessories for her dollhouse from Aunt RaRa, Uncle Greg, Amanda and Mike. And clothes and dolls from Granny and Grandpa.
